Home ownership is becoming more attainable in Mexico through the federal program known as Vivienda para el Bienestar (Housing for Well-being). This national economic driver opens up new opportunities for low-income families particularly women, indigenous people, vulnerable groups, and older adults. Over 270,000 homes are currently under construction across the country, with a target of 1.8 million homes over six years. The government also promotes stability through reforms such as loan restructuring, interest rate reductions, and securing clear titles. These measures have already assisted more than five million people. Mexico has a total of four Shining World Leadership Awards to date for Environmental Protection, Compassion, and Good Governance.
