In today’s news, Saudi Arabia funds vital nutritional care for vulnerable children in Yemen. Global report states current condition of coral reefs under threat, Syria helps dropouts return to school, European Union and Canada lead global effort to strengthen ocean monitoring, US nonprofit turns discarded plastic into children’s desks in Malawi, French vegan start-up rolls out tofu line in United Kingdom, and discovery of endangered bird-people species 30 years ago leads to major conservation effort in Ecuador.
Life on this planet is a wonderful opportunity to balance our karmic books. The best way to start is by being vegan. I have a simple DIY housekeeping tip to share with you! If your curtains leave a small gap in the middle when closed, try this: take two small binder clips and glue a small magnet to the side of each clip, making sure the magnets will attract one another. Let the glue dry completely, then attach one clip to the inner edge of each curtain panel at the same height. When you close the curtains, the clips will meet and the magnets will snap together, helping to keep the curtains securely closed and block out unwanted light. For larger curtains you can consider several clip magnets distributed along the inside edges.
Let’s sprinkle some cheerful sentiments into our day with the joke we’ve prepared entitled, “Betty Low.”
Mom asked her daughter about a message that kept appearing on her phone.
“I think someone called Betty Low keeps messaging me.”
“Mom, that says, ‘Battery low.’”
“That’s her! She messages you too?”
